    DESIGNER/ARTIST/COMPANY/COUNTRY:
    Bournique Glass Company:
The Company was in operation from 1907-1926 in Kokomo, Indiana.
Founder, Adolphe Bournique, was born in Baccarat, France on February 16, 1863 and came to America with his parents in 1874.
His father, Joseph, trained in glass at Baccarat and was known as one of the greatest gaffers (glass blowers) in the country's history.
By 1881 Adolphe was manufacturing colored and opalescent glass in New York City and for the next 22 years, he built and
managed glass factories. With decades of experience to guide him,
    Bournique
founded his own glass company in 1907. He died suddenly in 1913
after which his widow took over the running of the business for another thirteen years until she finally sold her interest in 1926.
