This is a new old stock item with no chips cracks or any damage. There is a bubble in the rim of the lid that is shown in the close-up pictures. It is completely encased in the glass. I believe this is the last one of these pieces that we can get in this color.
Although this is marked with a Westmoreland logo stamp, it was made by the, now defunct, Summit Glass company, who bought the molds from Westmoreland when they closed their factory.
Our supplier calls this color "Dave's Green." I don't know the origin of that name and this color may also be know by another name. The last picture is included to compare this color to the Malachite Green that we have. The piece in that picture is a previous piece that we have already sold and is not the same one that you are purchasing. The Dave's Green is on the left and the Malachite Green is on the right. The Malachite piece is not included with this purchase. We do have the chick on egg pile available in several different colors and many other glass pieces in our eBay store.
