    Description

    Westmoreland Glass Company
Listed for sale is a stunning pair of 6? candlesticks in the Waterford pattern #1932 by Westmoreland Glass Company. They are finished in a rich ruby red flash with raised elements of the ldesign. The deep rich ruby red flashed color is fired on over clear glass, which makes the ruby red finish permanently part of the glass, versus a stain that is painted directly on the clear glass after the glass piece has been completed, and can wear off as many pieces for sale today reference the absence of this painted on stain. You can see from the photos the richness of the ruby red accents and the high quantity of gold flecks in the flashing. The more gold, the more valuable the piece is.
I have owned these candlesticks for over 20 years and have never been used them. I tried to find away for them to fit within my decor, but never did, but found them so beautiful, never parted with them until now. It is time for someone to own these and show them off.
The candlesticks are 6 inches in height with a raised square base with what could be called rays shooting out from the center. Add to this and a beautiful bulbous stem with the rich Ruby stain and clear elements to support the candle holder.
The Waterford or Wakefield design is part of the #1932 pattern which has had several introduction throughout the decades and owners of the Westmoreland Glass Company.
These candlesticks are, in my assessment a work of beauty that will add to your collection of Westmoreland glass pieces. The candlesticks should be regarded as fine crystal and should only be wash by hand.
ENJOY AND THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!!
